COIN DE MIRE, a photo from Black River, South

Photographer's Note

Unmissable because of its triangular form in the shape of a ship sail, Coin de Mire, located off the northern coast, is a heaven for birds. It is actually a nature reserve where you cannot disembark, but that you can come close to by mini-cruise. The island has a very angular outline, as if carved on purpose, and wave-beaten cliffs which form a landscape that contrasts starkly with the long Mauritian sandy beaches.

Μαρία γεια σου,
όμορφη τοποθεσία του βράχου αυτού που με την παρουσία πουλιών θα γινόταν πιό ενδιαφέρον.Ο φάρος μόλις και μετά βίας φαίνεται, που για μένα εαν μπορούσες να διαλέξεις μια καλύτερη γωνία λήψης θα ήταν το σημείο αναφοράς της φωτογραφίας.

Hello Maria,
Very imposing outcrop of rock, its surfaces do look like chiseled out on purpose and covered by green grass here and there. It's always great to see some places left on Earth that are meant only for animals, or birds, or plants, or any other type of Wild Nature to be left in peace and undisturbed by humans.
Such a pleasant soft blue color of ocean here, too!

Impressive big rock taken from seaside, Maria, and good contrast to blus sea and sky.
The shape of this rock shows how it stretchs to left, and grind by wind and water over millions of years.

A nice composition with this promontory jutting into the sea, a beautiful chromaticism, with the same green hillsides and beautiful shades of blue sea and sky.

Hi Maria,
Nice light and colors for your shot on this island coast, well the detal with lighthouse on the hill, but maybe more view on the left side to see the blue sea ... the hill seems is placed just on the left side of the photo.
