Photographer’s Note
Sega is the national dance Of Mauritius.It was African slaves during the French colonial rule, who first introduced the sega which is still exotic, even erotic dance. Women in colourful skirts move gracefully backed by the drum beat and other instruments.
This shot was taken at Merville Beach hotel in Grand Baie which is in the North-West of the island. Lovely place, still miss it:)
