| Ganga Talao – Grand Bassin – This is one of two natural lakes found in Mauritius and lies within the crater of an extinct volcano, which can be found past La Marie and Mare-aux-Vacoas. This area, Ganga Talao, is a very important pilgrimage place for the Hindus of Mauritius, many of whom will walk there during the Maha Shivaratri festival. |
