Very interesting area, a pity there is no reference point, difficult to recognize the dimentions of the object :-)

Colorful place, it should be very impressive to walk in this kind of place. However, here, I think it would have been more interesting to have a larger view of the place, to really appreciate the place.

Hi Colin,
A beautiful composition of colours. I love how the colours blend and change from one tint to the other. The shadows provided nice depth and variety. Interestingly seen and captured!! Regards.

Very original shot of the Chamarel seven-coloured earth. Nice texture and play with the light and shadow. Just one precision: Chamarel is situated in the West of Mauritius, in the district of Black River.

Hi Colin
An interesting abstract kind of shot. The tight framing allows the viewer to concentrate on the colours and textures, rather than being distracted by the over all view. I can't decide whether or not I would have preferred a deeper DOF, I do quite like the softness of the background.

Hi Colin. I love shots with textures and this shot is overloaded with them! Your DOF is just right. The perfect sharpness brings out the details. Also the wild colors add good visual impact. Nice work Colin!

Interesting shot - took me a while to work out whether I was looking at a close-up of the ground, or a distant view of hills and valleys. I assume it is the latter. Something as a refeence point would have been good. Cheers . . . David

Good "modelé" in this volcanic photograpohy; there is also a rich game of colors.
For my own I like tight like this, its makes this bsalts more rough and warm.
I like it

Hard to tell what you have done to these Chamarel colours as they look very unnatural - never so reddish even in bright sunshine. Did you do any processing ? If so you should note it. Just a note on your 4 photos from Mauritius - 3 indicated as Port Louis whereas none of them were. Chamarel is in the Black River district and the "Bend photograph" is actually at Macondé near Baie du Cap in the south. You took your photo from the rock that lies between the road and the sea, looking inland.

Hi Colin
Look in your galery and found this one ; very special scene and colours and vulcano hills. Wonderful and interesting to see.
Take care, Albrecht
