[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I know, it is not very original to post photos of dunes and playing with the graphical drawing of the sands. Nevertheless, even if not original, it works and it is piece of the pleasure you got, walking in such place.

===================

Hello Yves,

I consider every sand pattern original. The streaking, angle, width and direction always differ. While not always evident at a glance, these sorts of shots all possess their own character. The blue sky is a soothing contrast against the radiance of the sandy dunes. I wonder how many grains are in this photo. I will leave the counting task to you! Great work!

Matt

Bonjour Yves
Amicalement

Hi Yves,
Wonderful lines, great depth and perspective. The two colours work wonderful here and the precense of no human life is for me a strong point.
I like it a lot, great piece of work.
Regards, Henk

Salut Yves,

Hello Yves

One perspective where you want to be graphed for their beauty.

The shapes of sand, unusual, lengthy and parallel with each other, form an excellent composition.

The handling of light, depth of field, make this a wonderful job. Congratulations

John

Hello Yves,
Original or not this is a beautiful image. You have a great photograph and with the proper processing it would make an outstanding fine-art print. The sidelighting is excellent and the soft, diffused sunlight softens the shadow detail on the sand ripples and I like this effect for this particular photograph. I also like the repetition of the ripples on the upper left portion of the sand dunes. The strongest part of your composition is the way the way that the converging sand ripples meet near the right third and the upper third portion of the frame. This photograph has a lot of potential for a great enlarged print. The printing process is the real definer of the greatness of a photo, not our tiny Trek Earth postings. Superb!
Stan

Salut Yves,
Superbe graphisme créé par le vent.
Une compo toute simple. Très sympa.
Bonne journée.
Igor

The pattern on the sand is great. I know it is not so original, but it is still a very good composition, with high sharpness and soft light.
I am curious about Mauritania. Did you have any trouble as a tourist, in the travel organization ? I know they stopped Paris-Dakkar because of problems with this country.
Regards Stefano

Salut Yves,

Toutes ces lignes, ce graphisme, sont magnifiques !
