Photographer’s Note

Our aim today is the Ocean.
We will have to cross
A slice of empty desert
In order to reach the Banc d’Arguin.
Some light clouds
Are painting the sky this morning:
I'm searching the light.

After leaving the campment
I’ll keep on looking at the sky
In search of the best clouds
Then, I’ve just to choose
Between the several
Stunning rock compositions
That are common here
The one closest
To a stairway to heaven…

Hi Luca !

Often, I don't like when there is too much sky but here with the clouds, I really appreciate your composition. However, the light on the rock is excellent !

Hi Luca
I love desert landscapes and I love clouds. So the combination of both is superb. The clouds seem to form a v above the rocks which are so sharp.

Hi, Luca -

I like the balance of sky and sand here; it emphasizes the vastness of the space. The position of the rocks vis-a-vis the clouds is well done, too. And the lighting is excellent. The sky does look slightly overpolarized in the corners, is the only problem I have.

Superbe photo, Luca! La composition, avec les magnifiques nuages parfaitement positionnés par rapport aux rochers, est très bien "pensée". Les couleurs sont trèsbelles et la qualité d'image excellente. Bien vu, le titre!

Hi Luca,

The shades on the rocks really add to it. The rocks would have become overy light if oyu would not have choosen this point of view with the shades. The skyline and the division land-sky is very nice.

I like this one very much Luca. It's a simple composition, but the light is wonderful and that cloud formation weighting over the rock is amazing. Love your color tones here, specially the earthy tones in the bottom. Very good.

Hi, Luca. A wonderful sky with these clouds forming a triangle. The lightness of the clouds contrasts with the massive character of the rocks in the foreground. The graphic side of the image is a real success. Very good contrasts and light.
