Playing with the wind

As we leave Amodjar pass
Going down from the rocky plateau
We enter in an environment
With scattered vegetation tufts
And soft sandy dunes.
In front of our eyes
A flowing of images…
Some nomadic tents
Little donkeys and camels
And dunes of sand
on apricot tone.
The light is getting better
And the hours before the sunset
Are the best to walk barefoot
On the dunes
Following the light
And watch the wind
playing with the sand and
caressing the earth.
We are at the gates of Chinguetti
a medieval trading centre
gateway of trans-Sahara trade routes.

Hello Lucia,
Great composition. Was waiting for something Mauritanian here on TE and I came across your composition. very nice indeed.
I like that you decided not to include the sky here. Different colours of the sand play nicely with each other.
Would be great to walk bare-footed even for a shot while on a sand like that.

Beautiful textures, excellent play with light and shadows right on the surface of the sand. A delight for the eyes.

Happy new year Luca, another delightful frame of the sahara, and so sharp, I can see the wind blowing between the layers.

(I contacted adrarbous with a proposed itinerary and a few questions, but lately they have been unresponsive. I only have 1 month left to get the visa and even less time to arrange my flight tickets. Maybe I will not be able to go to Algeria this year. The biggest problem is the visa, the Alg embassy is asking for full itinerary and pre-booked accomodation for the entire 3 weeks.)

What a beautiful graphic picture! I love the difference between the foreground and the background! The contrasts of patterns and colors is excellent, and the play with the curves and lines is sumptuous.

I discover this fantastic shot of sand dunes, with different brown to oange hues. This is a graphic shot, but I am disappointed to see 2 persons at the right top, not in the mood of the picture.
Nevertheless, good job
