Photographer’s Note
Follow to my yesterday post
...Left the asphalt after Akijoujt
the wind seems to settle a while
and the light improve.
We keep on running alongside the northern side
Of the Erg Amatlich
A long stretch of repetitive sand dunes
While the eyes let the sun dropping down behind
and the cars still move forward
on the sand off any trails.
The settlements of the camp
In the darkness
With the suddenly awaken wind
Right in time to change
The tent in a sort of paragliding
Under a billion of stars.
The following day
No wind at all, finally
And the sand dunes on a side
Pure, uncorrupted
Just asking to be climbed…

Very beautiful. The sand makes patterns like sea waves. Very good photo, clear and sharp and with fine shadows.

Hi Luca,
These are amazing shapes that are created by the sand dunes, and the shadows provide added interest in the image. The calrity is superb and the inclusion of the tracks in the sand is interesting and appealing. Well captured.
Cheers Grant

Hi Luca,
Wonderful shot again ! The green vegetation in the foreground gives the contrast and the light between the dunes is very nice. Beautiful effect...
Have a nice Christmas,

Hello Luca,
This really stood out in the thumbnails!
It is almost abstract art; a study in lines, tones and shapes! The light is great and the whole photograph is a joy to study!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Très belle photo, Luca! Splendide composition avec ces traces de pas (perdu dans le désert?) et ce premier plan qui nous montre que la végétation s'accroche à la moindre parcelle de terre, même un peu hostile.

Hi, Luca. Once again you show us the very beautiful shapes of these sand dunes. The contrast between the vegeatation in the foreground and the sand works very well. I like how the footsteps invite us to follow them into the image.

The light is exquisite, the dunes so pure, so natural, so poetical. I have never seen with my eyes this type of landscape.

Hi Luca, What an amazing work! I can hardly believe the photo is for real as I can not imagine this landscape even exists. As Elaine says, I have never seen any landscape like it, but I can't wait to see it though! Your image is of incredible beauty. It makes me silent and small when contemplating it. simply stunning work with this beautiful light that adds a veil of mystery. Sabine

Foto stupenda, delle dune così non si vedono spesso. La nitidezza fa paura, si vede che l'aria era molto tersa.
Non sono però d'accordo sull'ultima tua frase: "just asking to be climbed", io avrei detto: just asking to be left untouched..."
Ciao,
Donato
