A small town in south-central Mauritania. A woman in typical dress carrying her small child looks into the doorway of a small shop. I like the way the colourful lady is framed by the door and doorway.

Hi Neil, I see an excellent harmony between the blue veiled lady and the yellow texture of the wall. On the other hand, the contrast between the blue and the dark room makes it an eye-catching photo. It should be a different experience to visit such a place in the "inner" North Africa.

Hello Neil,
The woman is certainly nicely framed and the colours go very well together. I also like the texture of the muddy wall and the wooden door. I might have considered cloning out the child in green sweater inside the buiding. I don't usually like to change reality, but if that whole area had been dark, the composition would have been perfect.

You have already said it: I also like the way the colourful lady is framed by the door and doorway. And then I certainly like the colours of her dress in such a perfect harmony with the house. And, as Gert says, some cloning of here might have made this picture even better!

Very well framed shot, the texture of the building is nice which is complimenting the colorful drape with a nice fall. By the way I am surprised to see english alphabets written on the door, does these people read/write/speak english?
