The national parc of Banc d'Arguin (PNBA) is a natural reserve on the west coast of Mauritania, one of the largest in West Africa.
The Parc was created in 1976, and filed at the World Heritage of UNESCO in 1989.
Going from the Minou cap at the north to the city of Mamghar at the south, on a 12000 km² area, it involves the island of Arguin and Tidra.
The main purpose of the PNBA is to preserve the natural environment and to help people to develop.
It helps to preserve the sea biodiversity.
We can see a rich fauna here : a lot of kinds of birds and even some cetaceans in the sea.
The main activities for inhabitants are fishing (with these long painted boats) and ecotourism more and more.
At least, the place is also famous for the Medusa beaching in july 1816. 146 men (and a woman) took place on a raft, without food and water... just 15 of them could survive.
The painter Géricault did his famous "Radeau de la Méduse" (1818-1819) from this event.

Une très belle photo d'un endroit où peu de gens ont la chance d'aller
De belles couleurs et un bon point de vue
La note est intéressante

The fisherman's pose is fantastic & it is incredible how blinding the sand is despite your fast shutter speed. I like your composition as well - great juxtaposition of the man with his boats.

I like this picture of the man & the front of the boats which are colourful. The high breeze is evidenced from the clothes. The low POV you used actually was a good idea. Good work!
