This is a brilliant shot with the severe cropping, lovely colours and the excellent face. The detail of the texture in the material is a very nice - I feel that I could touch this.

I like very much this close portrait due to the framing, and the use of his veil and hat to enhance fer eyes. A bright spot in them should have make your shot more live!
