Terjit Oasis, a photo from Adrar, North

Photographer's Note

Until then I have just heard about oasis on fairy tales, well the reality is not so different! The sensation of arriving in an oasis after kilometers of desert and dry landscape is really like if you are entering in a dream.
This picture shows the entrance of Terjit, an oasis at Adrar plateau, where we can already see some vegetation. Unfortunatly my pictures at the core of the oasis, where water and vegetation is lush and abundant was not good as the ligh was already very low.
Terjit is filled with date trees; local families come here to spend their vacation camping or staying in their huts, some of which we can see in the picture.

a really nice scenery that looks like more as a painting with the light and the colour management to are unique.
I like the earthy ground wit the few trees to make the image so beautiful and unique.The clarity and the sharpness are great.

The colours are deep and the images sharp and clear. The contrast of the rough and rugged brown landscape with the soothing green of the trees is apparent. The small windowless round huts almost merge into the background - like camouflage... The hight cliff like hillock on the right has amazing colour bands at different layers.
The light blue sky is a beauty and enhances the sharpness and contrast of the landscape.
The black framing is appropriate and elegant.

Terjit must be a goo place to have some rest after long kilometers on desertical roads.
the cliff and some trees make some shadow which must be appreciate.
you made of this place a good composition, under a fine light.

Olá Flavia, a Africa é um continente que espero conhecer um dia. Deve ser mesmo um choque depois de longos km de deserto encontrar um local com verde. Gosto do enquadramento e das sombras fortes.

Hello,

This shot is remembering my own trek in Adrar. At that time, I was very impressed by the sea of dunes we could see just close.
Your note describes well the joy to get water after some full dry days in the sand.
