Bonjour ,

Hi Benny
Amazing picture. I learn a lot with it.
POV is excellent and also the framing
Very nice job

Hi Benny,
Nice one again. Daily life, the production of pottery the traditional way. There will be quite some pots to scrap with such an irregular way of heating it.
It's like with the traditional brick production. Only a small part is up to the quality standards to use it as carrying walls. The other ones are cut up again to be used for the foundation or 'paving' a 'road'.
Nice out of life shot with a good natural feel!!
Greetings,
Dennis
Even if there are many objects closed in this frame, the scene is complete - nothing is cut. It seems to me that it has more than just two dimensions ;-) I see it was not taken with digital camera, the more impressed I am by the result (usually, when working with a film, more thinking is involved ;-))
Best regards
Joanna

Hi Benny
Everyone is busy in this image. The colours are very intense and it makes a great composition.

This is a wonderful daily life image, and it shows something new to me. We can almost feel the heat from those fires. There must be a high potential for accidents. Although one woman seems to be a bit disconcerted by your presence, the others are going about their business undisturbed. Good work

Hi Benny,
What a great and varied selection of photos you've uploaded, you certainly seem to travel around a bit, and to interesting places too! I love the fact this shot a number of different components to it with the piles of new pots, people and smoke, all of which you've managed to get in the right place within the frame. A lovely shot.
Regards
Lee

Another well composed image from your Malian portfolio, documenting daily activities in this part of the world.

Impressive and very different from the other TE photos - super, really, to see how the women work in Africa, not only in fields but also such a hard factory work...
I prefer by far this one compared with your previous one, difficult to tell why : probably the whole setting is so fascinating here ! Plus the smoke adds something esthetical and realistic in the same time to the photo... I'll add it to my 2nd favorites (list is increasing everyday !)
Compliments,
Cath.

Hello Benny,
Magnifique ambiance ! Je n'ai pas vu ce village, j'ai vu celui de Segoukoro, pas très loin, je pense. Notre pirogue était d'ailleurs tombée "en panne" quelques instants... souvenirs...
Bonne journée

I don't know much to critique but would like to tell that this picture attract me to open because it look like painting. There's not much depth from light, shade and shadow especially the smoke and sky look not real but I like it. The object, color and story make this picture more interesting.
TFS.

Benny - you have certainly got some great shots in your gallery, however this is my favourite. This scene here, with the ladies working in what looks like a rotating fashion, is so well captured. The light is magnificent as is the colour, and the subject so interesting. Just look at those marvellous pots, hand made around that big open fire. And of course these hard-working women, glancing on you and your camera, but not paying you much attention. Fantastic photography Benny - keep posting your images from back in the days! Casper
