A little come back to my dear Mali. This picture have a sense in all the pictures that I have took from Mali (you can see the theme: A Mali treck). i have done a sail on a canoe on the River Niger. may be, for me, it has been the greatest travel experience.

Here I was approaching this little island with an enormeus tree in the delta du Niger, near Mopti, one of the mains cities of Mali.

simply beautiful!

Javier-

Great perspective

I believe its a little overexposed. Or, it is a little too flat. I played with it, and posted a W/S. I hope you don't mind.

Nice level horizon, not an easy job from a boat.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi,Javier,
A nice B/W shot with the right placement of the man's figure and the tree on the opposite bank.

Salut Javier,
Marc

Exellent photo Javier, a rare gem. You pointed out that the photo is intentionally overexposed, and I think it works out perfectly for this shot. It just depends on what you're exposing for. There is no rule that says oone can't expose for the midtones if it helps create an image that's in the photographer mind.

Well done.

Mark

Hello Javier,
Great composition, thanks for sharing...

Hi Javier,
the river Niger with its dunes is a perfect playground for a photographer...lucky you..
Compliments, Chris

Impressive looking.Tree as the subject by direction of boat man.great look,TFS.

The canoe is well placed in this composition giving me a sense of a ride. IMHO, it would be better if the tree is a bit off centered, it should be in the upper left corner of the picture, other than that is an excellent composition.

Hello Javier. A worth seeing photo. It is composed outstanding and works very well. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Bonsoir Javier
Bravo.
Xavier

Hi Javier
This is a wonderful shot and I like the B&W presentation. Well composed with triangular points of interest from the man at the front of the boat to the trees and to the people on the shore.

Hola company!

Compliments.

Amicalement
Michèle

Hi Javier,
This one is good too (but I prefere the other one ;-) ). Beautifull B&W. The Mali trek theme is nice!
Well done!
Nicolas
