Today, I propose something a bit new , a kind of minimalist picture. This is a non usual view of the so big Niger river, called Joliba by people from Mali. The picture was taken from Mopti, watching the are where the Bozo ethnie is living. According africans, Bozo and Dogons are friends since the moment were the Dogons had to cross the Joliba. They were helped by the Bozo people. Bozos still leave in that area, while the city of Mopti is one of the most important trade place of West Africa. All ethnies are arriving here, by the river, using " pinasses" to sell their stuff : salt , canaris, dry fish, sheep, spices and seeds.... Touaregs are very often present in that area and they sell jewels form Tombouctou. A beautiful place full of life and joy.

Hi Geraldine,
really impressive minimalist photo with amazing composition. You build a very intense relationship between the person, the first plant and the tree. Great job!
Mateja

A bientôt
Karine

Hi Geraldine, I like this minimalist and dynamic approach, the assymetry works so well... regards, Daniel

Wow, is that ever a unique shot! The minimalism really accentuates distance ... it seems like it will take the bicyclist a long time to get to their destination. Very creative!

Bonjour Geraldine,

Yves.

superbe!
bon choix de cadrage, tres geometrique, bon choix de couleurs...bref, j'aime

Very well composed and the cropping really works well here. The scan is a little grainy but I think it adds to the mood.
Nicely done Geraldine.
Phil

Salut Geraldine,

Marie
