| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is from a village somewhere in central Mali, on a journey from the capital city Bamako to Mopti. I had hitched a ride with a couple of European development workers and we stopped here and there to look at the villages. Here, a little boy interrupted his game to stare in disbelief at the three white strangers suddenly coming towards him.

Yes! they really are fairy tale houses, A small quest, do you know what in the top of the "tower" it looks like some of those things you have at the mast of a sailboat or actually reminds about "stadshuset" in stockholm.

Gert, The shot is good technically though this long after the fact I suppose those kinds of comments are moot. I find it interesting that even in the abject poverty you have shown in the Mali shots that the people take the time and effort to build a house of worship diverting time and materials they could have used elsewhere.
