Photographer’s Note

2 days navigating on the river niger in Mali gave me time to appreciate the little floating boats made of all kinds of things... here is a typical sail made of plastic bags once used for grains... those people are very smart and make use of everything they can put their hands on...;-)

Non, c'est beaucoup plus authentique et intéressant que le QMII (à mon goût, tout au moins...). Et de toutes façon, le paquebot géant ne serait pas entré dans le cadre de votre photo à cette distance :o)! La netteté du sujet et la profondeur de champ sont excellentes, et le contrastes le les couleurs magnifiques. Belle contribution !

OUI !! c'est très bien. j'aime beaucoup les couleurs et le mouvement de l'eau. une image "forte" qui ressort bien sur l'arrière plan paisible.

Very nice shot and a great pov. The dof is excellent, focussing on the boat. IMO, I would try to clone out or use tools in PS to remove the dust on the scanner ;)

It is a very good picture Eric. Excellent and distinct colors an dthe composition is spot on. The waves's texture and color makes it look menacing and the boat looks so fragile but at the same time, resilient.

Magnifique composition. Bon contraste. J'aime beaucoup la lumière et le fond qui se noie dans le flou. Petite profondeur de champ mais la mise au point est parfaite sur le sujet. Beau témoignage.
