That's a bold closeup and an unusual crop. I don't quite know what to think about it, but I find it interesting. Can't help the impression that this boy is looking right through me. A little more information would be nice.

It is different from the usual portrait and I really like the subject's severe cropping-- really adds to the confrontational/intimate nature of the picture. The overexposure behind his head a little annoying and I'd be tempted to tweak a bit of the contrast here overall-- the backlighting has made seem over so slightly flat.
His expression, however, leaves on feeling puzzled and curious. He was obviously concerned, surpised or anxious about your presence in his face and that can paint a less than rosy story about the whole ordeal. A bit more clarification about the whole meeting would be nice.
