Taking A Photo Photo

Photographer’s Note

This citicen of Mopti is earning his money with a "Camera Obscura". He is taking the photo using a manual "Exposure-Control" - his hand is taking ot hte cap infront of the camera. The result is a negative - developed "blind" in the camera. Then this negative is taken, placed a special holder and photographed again. After beeing developed again you receive the result: A posive picture.

Hi Udo,
I love his stance as he takes the shot. The camera and tripod are simply great with all those bits stuck on to it and on top of it, and I like the details like the teapot and the pieces of photo's on the ground. A funny documentary image.
