This one of my first pictures, still using my old Practika MTL-5.I had to wait for several hours to get the bus from Segou to Niono. I left my lugage at the cafe near the busstop.and started walking in the town. On the riverbank women were washing childeren where playing, and men were fishing.
This picture was taken around noon, with a 105 mm vivitar lens. The film was a very cheap "hema" film 100 asa. I can't remeber other technical details. |

Good document of a social and cultural special type. Sometimes, there is no need of many words ..
I like very much the boy's expression and the unsharped woman behind.

I like the subject very much. And the mother(?) in the background is a great addition. Technically the image could be better – and could work also in B&W.
