real genuine smiles and joy is all you will find amongest one of the poorest countries in the world. I do research 160km north of the capital (Bamako) in a city called Djenne, mostly farmer folk living in mud huts. my first impressions of these cities were the memories of my ancient history classes and how people lived, yet people here still live that way. They live without worry and in complete harmony with their surroundings. This boy was tending his cattle, he glanced back and I took this photo.

Marie

Hi Robert,

This is a particularly striking image. The lighting and colours are wonderful and I love the boy's expression. I would crop the dark left corner so that it is more balanced in the foreground. Overall though it is fantastic!

Regards,
Michele
