Photographer’s Note
people usually gather around the Niger around evening time and bath in its waters.
**in response to some people about his nudity:- first of if you have been to Mali and meet these people you would understand that they do not look at nudity as we do, there are never thoughts about sex or others with these people. I find them highly civilized as they are strong in their minds and very constructive in their thinking. of course to western people this might be taboo and unappropriated to show, but this sight is a sight of learning about others culture not thinking that everybody thinks like us here in the west.
This man along with 1000's of him and also women and children of Mali bath daily in the Niger and its very normal doing it in this way. After i took this shot, I spoke with him and showed him this photo and he smiled and was inquisitive to how I froze the water in mid air.

Beautiful shot.
I think it would have been better without the stuff at the right bottom, and if the man was a bit more to the right side of the frame.

It's a beautiful candid capture. The man is beautiful and the photograph pays him homage. The "stuff at the right bottom" provides a platform for him to spring from, into the picture, and doesn't bother me at all. Good work, Robert.

You are absolutely right and TE is a place to show the world through photography. And the world at the banks of the Niger River is like this. Many thanks for giving me the opportunity of observing it. And the way you chose is simply wonderful and simple. The composition is superb and the frozen water adds an excellent dynamic sense. Well done.

I might understand the men who didn't leave any comment under this photo ( A fear of being accused of being a queer ???)
But the women ?
If I was a woman, I'll pray to him instead of God !
:-))))
What a body...
The sculpturists, the photographers, the painters, the fashion designers... Their dream would have come true.
The evening sun made this heavenly body even more gilded... Every muscle is quite visible. Those long legs ...!
Women on TE...!
Are you all lesbians or, maybe even more... Are you the blind lesbians ?
Damn... Why I was born a hetero ...? Why ???
Unusual photo on TE... Unusual scene !
Stay cool, bro !
