[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A girl living in a small village in southern Malawi.

I was working on a project there with one organization, I photographed children at a borehole, where they get water. Then I followed them to their houses, they were carrying buckets full of water on their heads.

I like the depth of field in this shot, good concentration with the girl as well.

Hi Maciej,

Excellent portrait of her is with meaningful looks and guest on eyebrow too. I like your well focused and colorful portrait of her. Congratulations.

Best Regards,

oh, ok..where's that in your photograph? I feel like a slight distance between your note, your image and your intention. The portrait is below average, generally speaking. It is way below YOUR personal level, imo. What's that number (9024)? A phone number of the tailor or what?

Hello Maciej,

nice to see the portrait in your style,a deep and strong look by her eyes, and a sweet shy smiling,...and the fly ...say many things here,You captured her skilfully and very well worked,an impressive portrait shot you share with us,nicely done,Thanks,
Best

Beautiful portrait. Nice composition. This image says Africa, in every positive way. I like the contrasting green over her dark skin.

Hello, Maciej--
A nice portrait... but i'm certainly eager to see what you have after the magazine takes their cut, as this one seems just a little distant for my tastes, not pulling me into the culture too hard, or even really into her life. The expression is good, with very piercing eyes and technically i like how you were able to use a similar toned background, but still bring her out strong. Nice, but not particularly inspiring... although i'm definitely looking forward to what is to come.
Thanks!

Nice photo again,
needless to say... good compo, light, dof....
i'm waiting for some more shots from africa.
regards

I guess the first question I would have is why didn't you show them carrying the water? This is a good, but very simple and plain portrait Maciek. Technically nothing wrong at all, though not near as interesting or challenging as I know you can do. The use of very shallow DOF is not something you have done a lot lately and it does look very nice here.

Hey Maciek! Nice portrait. The boy has interesting eyes.

Hi Maciej
Lovely portrait and colours of the clothes. A bit sad looking but intensive portrait.
take care,Albrecht
