This is the view at the end of the day from a bar in Cape Maclear. It is on the shores of Lake Malawi, one of the most serene places I have ever visited. On this warm, still evening with the chirping of cicadas filling the air, everything seemed perfect with the world.

These colours are really nice, I'd love to be there right now. The clouds coming in from the left make the picture a little more interesting. I would have liked to see a little detail at the bottom of the picture though.
I guess this is scanned from a print, had a lot of noise and applied some sort of noise reduction filter, like neat image or smart blur, which is a good thing to do. But I think you used it a little too much, there are patches in the sky that make this look like an oil painting or something, which is what these filters do, you just don't want it to show.

Très belle teinte, les couleurs me font un peu penser à du feu. Merci pour cette belle photo

well... it's a good reason to go and have a drink ;-)
magical colours !
when looking closer at the picture :
was it necessary to reduce colour levels ?
it resulted in coloured patches that could have been grades of colours (look aat the clouds or the redish reflection on the right)

I was in despair to see photos from MALAWI. This one is so nice as I saw myself on the lake malawi, ex Nyasaland. Thanks for posting your scanned souvenirs and continue like this. I was in this country, lived in the bush. See my pictures on TE, you will recognize some places (maybe)

The range of colours in this images are superb and all seem to form an orderly pattern to add to the composition. The black at the bootom forms a good base. The only improvement to this already good photo would be if the boat had some gold light all around it to make it stand out a bit more.
