A Photoshop merge of successive photographs of a sea eagle taking a fish out of Lake Malawi. The men of the tourist boat whistle to call the eagles and when one comes they throw a dead fish for it to swoop on. It was a spectacular site. It was fortunate that I had just worked out how to shoot in continuous mode.
The boat was bobbing around somewhat so I had just to try to keep the eagle in the viewfinder. The eagle made an arc as in the photograph, but I must admit, the arc as you see it was constructed in Photoshop. Mind you, it was lucky that the eagle did not take the fish from the left: the composition would not worked so well.

This is a masterpiece! Superb timing, in concert with good composition, light, exposure. Warm regards from the first British colony in America, poised to celebrate its 400th anniversary (2007). Bulent

Very good! You took this on a boat? Must have been a bit of work to merge this in PS, as the boat was probably moving.
I love the nice curve the eagle takes on this shot!

Fantastic overview of this eagle taking fish out of the water. And quite proper stitching/merging. There are some points you can see the work, but it's not really disturbing. And the cascade presented is nice.
But I don't know if this is against the ToS as this is not the photo as you saw it, although it's nice work, this did cost a lot of PhotoShop work and might thus be better placed on TrekLens, where heavy post processing is allowed.
Thanks for sharing the flight though.

Fascinating series of exposures. The way it curves fits perfectly on the frame.
Cut and paste job could be better but it surely is difficult to paste something on a wavy sea. And imperfections only show on larger version.

Incredible photograph and post-processing of it! It has attracted good attention, but not enough to my mind!
I keep a record of it to show my husband who is a lover of eagles.
Personally, I didn't know sea eagles existed. One learns so much everyday on TE.
I love the shape of the bird's course, to come and get his fish.
