Great composition. I love the jagged diagonal lines of the rock and shadows. This shadowy, incomplete animal portrait, with the fearsome claw sticking out, is more poweful than if you had shown the whole animal. My mind is forced to wonder what amazing creature this menacing claw could be attached too. Light and contrast are a bit harsh, but suited to the subject matter. Color balance is off, though, and could be corrected in photoshop by removing green and blue and adding red.
