Photographer’s Note

That day the road westward from Fort Dauphin was used by a constant stream of people on foot first going, later coming from a market in a village whose name I do not remember.

These women are returning home after having sold and bought goods there. They carry the wares bought on their heads in a cacti landscape.

salut mathieu,
j'aime bien cette photo, ses couleurs, son mouvement, la jeune femme qui se retourne vers l'objectif. fort dauphin est une région que je ne connais pas alors merci de nous en faire partager un moment de vie.

Bonjour Mathieu,

Bien vu cet ensemble de femmes qui portent leurs provisions sur la tête à l'africaine, j'aime bien aussi cette femme qui regarde l'objectif, ça crée une relation intéressante entre le spectateur de la photo et le sujet photographié
