Photographer’s Note
This was taken in a bush just outside my hotel room at the edge of Isalo National Park. It has been identified as a Parsons Chameleon by one person and as an Elephants ear Chamelaeon by another so I am not sure which it is at the moment. Interestingly enough it is a popular misconception that they change colour to match their surroundings - they don't they change colour depending on their mood, they will go red if stressed.
