Ambozantany Cathedral
The high city (Tananambony) of Fianarantsoa is a high place of the city history and Bestileo area. It’s a picturesque and popular district, looking like a village with its place, its small market and its public laundrette. But the more striking is the very strong concentration of religious buildings. On a surface of less than 2 km², one finds, in addition to this catholic cathedral, four Protestant churches, of which a Lutheran and three Reformed. The Antranobiriky temple, (literally house made of bricks), the oldest temple of the city is built on the top of a hill and was built in 1885.

Beautiful and well centered picture. The church look large and very attractive. The people on the foreground give magnitude to the image. I like the soft colours and the good sharpness. A lovely place with a big, nice church. Thanks Jean Pierre :-)

Hallo Jean Pierre!
You show us a magnificent building with a not everyday's architecture. Especially the cupolas at the towers are unusual elements. An interesting church - and with two times at the church clocks ... ;-)
Have a nice Sunday and greetings from Germany!

Salut Jean-Pierre,

Hello Jean,
Exceptional balance in this image and the colors are beautiful. The balanced lighting makes this a very good catch as all aspects of the church are perfectly exposed...

Hi Jean Pierre!
This is an excellent architecture shot. The vertical framing and the composition are perfect. Great light managment and beautiful colours. What really impresses me is the "respect" for the "lines" of the building, the most important thing in architecture photography. No signs of distortion anywhere. Congratulations!
Best regards,
Hercules
