Photographer’s Note

Marché d'Ambalavao, complètement désereté comme vous pouvez le voir. Celui-ci se tient sur une grande place de terre rouge sans cesse piétinée et très poussièreuse de la ville d'Ambalavao. Il était près de midi quand nous sommes arrivés sur place et je n'ai pas pu resister devant cet endroit étrange. Paradoxalement, je pense que l'on se rend encore mieux compte de l'effervescence qui règne sur le marché en temps normal quand on le voit vide. Mais je me trompe peut-être.

in such places goes on rich life in Madagascar so this empty marketpalce looks very strange!Interesting original picture, good colours and composition. Nice shot!

Original d'avoir pris cette place vide, généralement on a droit aux marchés foisonnant de produits, de personnes, ici rien à part la structure en bois.

I've also been in Ambalavao last year, and this sight is one of the best in town (after the huge mountains of course). This picture excactly shows what I saw when I arrived there. It's a beautiful shot Quentin!

on me dit que Madagascar est une chouette place, je veux bien les croire en voyant tes images, je trouve celle ci tres graphique et complexe. J'imagine l'ambiance qu'il doit y avoir le jour ou ces etalages sont remplies et que la foule se presse pour faire leur s courses.

I like the depth you have in your abstract of the market place teh vertical and horizontal lines work well. And if you had cropped out the sky?
