Photographer’s Note

view of tsaranoro mountains as seen from the southern slopes of andringitra national park. the trees are a kind of dwarf palm trees growing to a hight of not more than 3 metres - maybe this is due to the altitude they are growing at (here maybe around 1500 metres above sealevel). the northern rock faces of the tsaranoro mountains are - at a hight of more than 800 metres - one of the highest granite walls in the world.
