Another forge Photo

Photographer’s Note

During a recent mission to Ambalanirana in the Bongolava region of Madagascar I came accross an other forge, this one seemed to specialise in the metal straps that bind cart wheels.

One man was at the bellows whilst the other would heave the strap or "tire" or whatever out of the flames to hammer it into shape from time to time.

I took several photos of them in action, this one is the clearer one.

Hi Mazeo, Another excellent documentry photo.Takes me back to the days village blacksmith days in Eire.Interesting bellows unusual , the men seem so content in their work.Thanks Tom.
