Photographer’s Note
The NGO I had gone to visit in Maroansetra was organising in one commune a focus group meeting to think about water and sanitation. There were maybe forty people attending, from all the villages of the commune. These people had to be fed and a group of women from the commune head - Andranofotsy were busy cooking rice over several small fires.
This woman was one of the cooks I tried several times to capture her beauty, this is the better shot.
