Photographer’s Note
A house in the heart of the Malagasy rainforest. Taken from the window of a helicopter on a flight to visit a remote village. The forest tribe here are the Betsimitsaraka. They make a living by deforesting areas around their villages to grow rice and to sell the pallisandre trees to be sent to the capital, antananarivo.
