Photographer’s Note
Day VII
The camp was quite close to the road going to Ghat, where we had to catch the plane the day after. It was the last evening...
There were a lot of car tracks... There were a lot of... invisible roads !
I enjoyed these ones a lot : their symmetry was incredibly perfect !

Salut Stephane,

Hi Stephane,
Invisible.......hmm - and maybe confusing which track was leading to the airport :O)
Beautiful light on the sand.....a great place for star-watching, I guess :)
So simple and so nice.

Stephane
This scene reminds me of the Nazca lines in Peru with all the diagonal lines. The scene is also very warm too. I like the copper colour of the sand and the impact of the patterns on the road. I never got the chance to go to Ghat when I was in Libya, but another visit is on the cards for the future.
Cheers

Salut Stéphane,
Incroyable !

It makes you wonder how come they don't get lost. I like the inclusion of the sky as the blue is a wonderful contrast to the orange of the sand.

Bon soir Stephane,
I love the way you portray time and movement here through the inclusion of recent and old vehicle tracks. I like the subtle textures of the sand too. The blown out high lights on the right are not so pleasing to the eye but they do add a symbolic layer because the old and almost hidden tracks leasd to them. Good job.

Hi Stephane,
A simple scene yet we can deduce much of the events that took place here. The tracks suggest the number of trips and the time each of these trips roughly took place. The interesting part is for us to figure out whether the vehicle is coming or going. I enjoyed this and the vast space and colours are exciting. Well done!!! Regards.

Hi Stephane,
I love these open and free spaces. I grew up in the ultra densily populated Netherlands. Pictures of big open clear spaces and clear skies bring a smile upon my face. thanks, Gilbert

Hello Stephane,
what a great shot of the desert. the leading lines are indeed meaningful in leading the eyes towards the hill far ahead.
It may look simple or easy, but as for me...I would missed the thought of creating the mndane into something useful.
Great composition.
Regards,
Foozi
