Photographer’s Note

No... this is not a mirage !
There is indeed some water in the desert, here in Libya, Akakous.
We actually had one day of rain during our hiking trip, which made the waterfalls and the wadis creating under our eyes: very impressive !
One week after the rain, here was what remained, just near Ghat and the big dunes area in front of the Akakous hill.

Excellent! I really like this composition, with the circular pond and the texture of the foreground. There is some great light here too. Well done!

Love it! Are they buildings in the background? I agree the lighting (particularly on the dunes) really makes the photo.

Wonderful picture, Sophie. Mirage comes to my mind even before I've read your title and note. It's a pitty it isn't a real mirage, but it looks fantastic. Great light and colours, very good compostition. Congratulations!

Nice one Sophie, I love the sense of space here, its so far from the front to back, with all the levels in between well delineated.
And the texture of the mud is amazing. Great light and dof

Not a mirage but like a mirage pulls me to see it:)
amazing nature with great POV you show us,excellent details and sharpness with great light controlling and also a fine real colors which I like in this natural combination.

and very well composed,I like it.

(Your new post,next of it,has an unleveled horizon,it must be rotated,is it importan?!...I think,Yes:)..but the shot is good)

joli paysage. cette etendue d'eau au premier plan est aussi superbe qu'ephemere ... tres bon cadrage avec un bon dynamisme, les couleurs sont magnifiques ...

La Libye est un pays si peu connu du tourisme.
Merci de publier cette photo qui est parfaitement cadrée.
Je note un avant-plan qui donne une sacrée profondeur à la composition.
J'apprécie la luminosité et la maîtrise de l'exposition.

Güzel bir enstantane.. sizi kutluyorum.. Renk geçişleri, renkler ve netlik çok güzel bir fotoraf olmuş..
