Photographer’s Note
Long day of walk, still on the road and the sun is going down. Some clouds are filtering the light to put the foreground in the shadow leaving outside the dunes in background evidencing their colors.

Hallo Yves!
What an impressive landscape and photo as well. I like the many many details one can detect in the large version here. The photo transmits a wonderful impression of wideness and solitude and all these structures and shapes of the sand and the rocks are simply breathtaking. A great picture!
Greetings from grey and wet Germany!

From the thumbnail it does not look anything special.
Then it becomes a crazy pattern of rocks and sand with a fantastic high definition, and beautiful light.
Another planet on our earth.

Bonjour Yves
Amazing landscape really! The geology & the topography is intriguing to see the least & the splendour of it spreads us in front of our eyes in the LP, but I don't think it would ever match to what you saw with your eyes. The rocks eroded like bun breads lead is to the 'creamy' dunes in the BG with a distinct colour contrast. Amazing place...wonderful picture!

Good morning Yves,
This is one hell of a shot. what a view, what a great desert that is. Wish there were also some patches of sunlight in the foreground instead of all shade, but that's not something we can control. The view itself is great...endless, what a great area to go too. I really have to re-consider my plans for the coming years, i really want to see this myself.
I see you have the Sigma instead of the white Canon....why? I heard that Sigma was slower in focussing and also no IS function...do you not miss that at the 200m/m range?
Whatever, this photo created by that looks great.
Have a nice day,
Henk

Bonjour Yves,
Amicalement

Yves,
This landscape make me dream, I dream to be a bird flying over this beautiful and merciless landscape, looking for water. Okay, I don't want to be a bird and I don't like flying but this image make me wish I could fly. I love the rugged rocks in the foreground but I also hope your POV is a bit higher to see a little more of the sand dune for comparition between the hard rocks and fine sand. The large version gives a even better impression. thanks so much for taking your time.

Salut Yves,
Daine
