Photographer’s Note

Image took from a small boat during a cruise in the southern Mediterranean Sea.

The Gulf of Sidra is a body of water in the Mediterranean Sea of the northern coast of Libya; it is also known as Gulf of Sirte.
From time to time, Libya has asserted that the entire gulf is Libyan territory, though other countries hold to the international standard of a 12-mile (22.2 km) territorial limit from the country's shore.

il golfo della Sirte! (anzi, il tramonto sulla Sirte, però qualche 'montagna' la intravedo anche qui...)
Eccezionali i rossi nel cielo, si vede che l'aria non contiene molta umidità. Sembra una delle foto che la NASA ci ha trasmesso da marte... non è che sei stato anche lì, vero ??!! ;D))
Scherzi a parte, mi incuriosisce sapere se il viaggio (recente, la foto è del 2004) è stato semplice e senza problemi, o se si devono prendere accorgimenti sul posto per circolare ad es. a fare foto!

you are now painting pictures with your lens. The softness of this photo allows the colors to sort of blend in a viscouse soup. Looks like melted amber. Great, great work.
