Day III

The sand flies and dances in the wind. It carresses the rocks. The dune follows it and then approaches slowly. It gazes at the moutain, it gets close to it and coils it up. Then it wraps the moutain up and embrace it. The moutain slowly disappears into a kind of fusion...

Then the wind get back. And the sand leaves...

Good to see the contrast between rocks and sand dune. The sky adds a nice background to the composition. The sharp line in the sand dune is good lead-in to the picture as well.

A fascinating shot of this fabulous area. What a tour you are giving us of the desert. Superb contrast here between dune and rock, the fine textures of which are very apparent. An unusual and artistic three part presentation, with the sky completing the scene. I like this shot very much.

Elle est belle ete montagne sculptée avec cette grosse dune qui s'avance et qu'elle va arreter.
Belles couleurs et volumes bien placés, un peu plus de Dune en proportion sur le premier plan avec un format plus large aurait donné aussi un bon résultat.
Il y a aussi une vision de ce que la montagne deviendra dans des millénaires en voyant la dune. Tu es poussière ....

I have never seen such a sight as this and for some reason the desert dunes coming up to the hard rock is a real surprise. Your composition is good combining the 3 elements of the image.

Hi Stéphane, I like you composition to have the sand dunes extended from the corners of the view. The smoothed sand dunes made a good contrast to the mountain rocks. The red colors of the land made a nice contrast to the blue and white mountains. A very well taken picture with sharpness and clarity. Well done.

The contrast between the soft sand dune and the rocky mountain cliff is incredible and this is what makes this photo great.
Nice to see two aspects of the landscape so different from each other but still in the same photo. And you have also managed to capture this scene in light of sublime beauty.

Your desert series is fascinating Stephane, the thing that makes this one very interesting is the textural and colour contrast (stone vs sand) and the spatial arrangement. Such beauty!

Hello Stephane, this is another wonderful view of the dunes. On this one I love the curve of the ridge and the contrast between the lit side and the shadow. There's good composition with the three areas of the picture: sand, rock and sky.

The mountains looks like carved with the sand. You can almost make out something being drawn by the wind and the sand! Like the simple colors and the blue sky. Great POV. TFS

Stéphane, j'apprécie l'opposition entre la masse rocheuse est le sable des dunes. Les textures sont mises face à face. La dune a un pouvoir extraordinaire quand elle progresse. Les courbes qu'elle trace sont superbes et les couleurs sont magnifiques sous la lumière.
