Photographer’s Note

Ramadan (Ramazan) is very important for islamic people and countrys.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. It is during this month that Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. Lasting for the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small meals and visit with friends and family. It is a time of worship and contemplation. A time to strengthen family and community ties.
Eating, drinking, sexual intercourse and smoking are not allowed between dawn (fajr), and sunset (maghrib). During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam by refraining from violence, anger, envy, greed, lust, angry and sarcastic retorts, refrain from gambling and betting and gossip. Sexual intercourse during fasting in the day is not allowed but is permissible after the fast. All obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided. Purity of both thought and action is important. The fast is an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm. Properly observing the fast brings on a comfortable feeling of peace and calm.

Dear Cuneyt,
you have well taken the market impression here. But I am not glad with the light and contrast. Sometimes this is from the shadows by this kind of roof above.

Very intresting indeed. I put another photo from nearly the same place but taken at another day. What is more interesting is we put the same photo in the same day. What is the chance for this??? Really unbelievable. So, as I put the similar photo, I like this one also.

Hello cuneyet. It is the time of the Ramadan. The shopping street is full people. They buy like always. One does not see in the photo however that Ramadan is. Nevertheless the photo is very interesting and well taken. One gets an impression of the everyday life of the people in Lybien.

a very vivid composition. It gives a good impression about life in Libya.
Unfortunately, the photo is a bit grainy, and it looks rather "cold" - perhaps because of the light coming through the light blue covers of the bazar ...

this is a nice busy scene, with all sorts of stuff happeneing. it does look a bit overexposed. i would have definatly converted it to b&w. do you know what funny i see all these men hundreds of them but only one woman!!!!! poor lady

Take care for light and contrast .Try to use gray filter, it will help.
