*Saharan OASIS* Photo

Photographer’s Note

Last week i ve been in Al-Kufrah for finding project camp location over there,
I found this OASIS there , looks amazing but it was dirty by pets and cans, shame ;).

Gecen haftasonu Al-Kufra ya gittik, yeni kamp yeri belirlemek icin, bu Oasis i orada buldum,
Cok guzel bir yer, lakin insan eli tarafindan orasi bile kirletilmis, etrafta pet siseler ve kutular doluydu, yazikki boyle guzel yerleri colde bile olsa bulup kirletiyoruz.

Marvellous colour contrasts & good horizontal layering in this superb, arid landscape. It is unusual to see so much water in the desert, but it provides nice reflections. Tfs!

You are a very busy man taking so many excellent photos!.
At first glance this oasis looks like a very welcome place to bathe & freshen yourself-yet it's polluted.
It must be a torment to be near so much water in such heat & not able to utilise it.

good one with water in the desert. Nice coloured capture of those difference water and desert. The stone at the right is an excellent detail.

Camel paketi geldi yine aklıma, dur ben bi cigara yakayım :)
Demek çöller o kadar da korkulacak yerler değilmiş. Hatta güzellermiş de. Ama alışana ve bilene, ve de internette fotoğraf bakana güzeldir muhtemelen.

Çok güzel renklere ve görüntüye sahip bir vaha bulmuşsun. Eğer kirletilmiş olduğunu söylemeseydin anlayamazdım. Yazık ki insanoğlu çölde bile kirletiyor. Bu güzel manzara için teşekkürler.

Hi Cuneyt, Another excellent photo, you view for a great shot is superb, very well composed with the large piece of wood to the bottom right, you have captured the colours very well indeed & stunning light, although you said it was dirty, it dose look amazing, take care & kind regards Wilson.

very interesting composition- to just imagine in the middle of the sahara and one can find water- one vital element to supply life, the oasis! soft cool colors so eye pleasing! it could be a nice place to unwind if not for the dirts you mentioned, huh?

Le regard est attiré par cette magnifique prise de vue. Une oasis doit être une vue, qui doit donner des ailes à ceux qui sont à la recherche d'un peu de fraîcheur.
Ce n'est pas un mirage ! l'eau transparente, la végétation, les dunes, tout concourt à nous plonger dans un conte de fées.

The composition with that trunk in the far right corner is perfect. That piece of wood gives an excellent DOF. The light conditions are perfect too. Now, something that could be possibly better is using a polarizing filter to improve the look of the sky and also the colors of the water. I'm telling you this because you're specifcally asking in your intro baout things that could improve your shots. Start using a circuar polarizing filter for landscape photography.

That rock lower right could easily be mistaken for a croc in the thumbnail, hehehe!
Otherwise it is interesting to see what water can do to the desert landscape, transforming the sand to a fertile piece of land...
