Photographer’s Note

I was try my Circular polarizer filtre in low sun light.
I get nearly what i wont really,
I would like to show you a cold image of dunes, sandsea in Saharan Desert.
I like the result , hope you like too
We went that place yesterday with. Ertan

this is a mind blowing shot.>!! amazing POV and also the colours are so warm..The clarity of this image is just great...great use of the polariser which is giving this shot such an intense feeling..!!

Hi Cuneyt, The contrast between the sun lit side of the dune & the darker side is superb, also the light side look smooth & the other side rough & the effect of the foot prints add to an already strong image, wonderful POV & composition, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

First thing i can say about this shot Cuneyt is- WOW.
As soon as i opened the image it was striking.
I can see what effect you are trying to achieve & it is only the yellow on the bottom right that 'warms' the picture. The rest of your image has the 'cold' blue i think you were trying to convey from your note.

Even if a classic picture of steps on a dune i like it very much, interesting bluish tone in the shade of the dune...did you played with the white balance to get a blue shade ?

Hah işte burda ayyuka çıktı. Ayak izleri tamam ama o yuvarlak izler nedir? İkinizden birisi arada bir kafa üstü mü düşüyordu neydi??? Ya da dur dur, onlar diz izleri olsa gerek. İkinizden biri ara sıra çömelmiş sanki... Develere ait bir şey göremiyorum ama, çölü bu kadar soğuk gösterirsen her an kutup ayıları basabilir, uyarması benden...
Geyik bitmez hiç (sizin oralarda "deve bitmez hiç" deniyor olmalı). Derim ki, bu da süper foto Cüneyt Amca, eline sağık.

Nice view of these dunes. The contrast yellow-blue is perfectly presented. But the colours are not natural. The filter used explain it. Even if I prefer the colours of the original that you publish as WS.

CUNEYT merhaba. harkulade bir ışık gölge oyunu.konTrast zaten söze gerek bırakmıyor.

tepeciğe.
güneşin vurduğu iniş ile . ayak izlerinin güneşe cephe aydınlığı harika bir uyum tadı veriyor.. bulutlar hep böylemidir orada . sanırım sert rüzgarlar var . bu yüzden basık bir görüntü çıkıyor. ancak kumlarda sert rüzgar dalğalanmaları yok.arka kısımların yüzeyi kum değilmi ? toprak rengi sanki. ( ben detaylarını severim fotoğrafların .ayak izlerine girmiyorum . deniz gerekli incelemeyi . senaryoları kurgulamış zaten :))) ellerinize sağlık . saygılarımla .çok güzel.

Merhaba Cuneyt,
You produced an impressive photo with that dune. It's great and the title is much appropriate, as that blue on the left really feels like cold. The razing light on the top of the dune enhances very nicely the texture of the sand and the shadows on the footsteps.
The WS is also gorgeous, it deserved a post of its own.
I confess I didn't know that the polariser could have this effect on colours other than the sky. Let me explain myself better: I knew that it can saturate the colours, but I didn't know that it could also alter the colour balance.

nice use of your filter, it makes interesting cold tones contrasting with the warm lightened part of the dune, I guess that photo was taken few seconds after the beautiful photo of Ertan that is showing yourself walking on the top of the dune

Beautiful .. empty .. the blue tone is really interesting .. I find the way the footsteps seem to appear out of nowhere and that they are only in the shadow .. really thoughtful .. wonderful meditative image.

Hi Cuneyt, this is truely beautiful as a picture, really good. But i have a problem with the sky, i don't why, perhaps the too much blue in high part, i don't know, that doens't fit with the low part of the picture, the sand. When i scroll down the picture and cut thesky i find personaly that the sand is really TREMENDOUS, feet prints and play with light shadow, really excelletn and beautfiul, but the sky for me is not at the level of the sand.
Anyway this is beautiful

Hi Cuneyt:

I really like your composition here. That low angle with the sand down, the late afternoon sun, and particularly those footsteps is classic and yet unique. However, I'm not a big fan of the sky. It looks overprocessed to me--too much of a greenish cyan cast. It also looks oversaturated. But the rest of the photo is lovely.
