I saw these sandals on the steps of the building I was staying in. They were left by a small girl whose mother was working at the building. The sandals remind me of the shy girl I would see each day.

Hi Michael - splendid compo - In Ivory Coast, the name of these sandals is "while waiting" (While waiting more money to buy better shoes !!!)
My best wishes to you and your family and thank you very much for sharing your shots from Africa.
Regards
Gaby

Hi again Michael,

This is a GREAT pic. The contrasting colour is simply fantastic! As a photo, in my opinion, it has good artistic quality.

Although I like that you've left it all in colour, there are some images by Alejandro Guzman Jurado(alejandroguzman)and an image titled Cigaret by Filip Trezzi (filip54852) where the majority of the pic has been desaturated and the subject has been left in colour. It's an interesting effect that I think would have worked well with this pic.

Best wishes,
Tony
