Photographer’s Note
This is Qachas Nek, a small town in southeast Lesotho bordering South Africa. Here the road going along the periphery of the country ended, and the only way out was through South Africa, where in 1984 I was not accepted by the apartheid regime. A rather exciting flight by a small plane brought me back to the capital.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

Hej Gert,
Seven hours on TE and not one single point, until now! But don´t take it away, leave it here for some days, give away your 40 points per day and you will eventually be rewarded! Though it should not really be necessary, as this is quite a good picture. Particularly the lines along the slope and the parallel line of the trees down to the colourful women! The colours of the green foreground are also very good, but you have turned the sky into the greenish hue, that may have to do with the contrast. The hill in the background is slightly resembling Mittåkläppen!

Hej Gert,
this is such a spectacular landscape photo that I even left my laptop and sat down at my desktop computer to see it on a big screen of the desktop monitor! :)
First of all, I join Gunnar in what he said in his comment.
And second, this is a very good photo! I like its diagonal lines which intersect invisibly: this adds some dynamism to the scene. I am not sure, though, if you are very interested in technical aspects of photos taken a long time ago, but ... nevertheless!.. :)
The sky really looks a little unnatural but to me it doesn't matter that much because I am more interested in what is going on in this photo and what I can see there. For me it is an "exotic" landscape (with this hill in the BG!).
Adding a couple of people walking by really enlivens this scene "in green".
But trees look similar to "European" trees! how come?... I expected to see mainly palm-trees in Africa! or at least some other trees which look unusual (or is this another curious case - just like with wearing warm woolen hats in cold African ares?)
Warm regards from snowy Moscow!

Hello Gert, 25 years old, I wonder if it has much or changed at all. Unusual landscape & for someone as ignorant as me it looks very green & lush, something that I had not expected. The two figures at bottom of the frame I think add colour & interest. I think you have done done well with the reproduction & an image worth posting & one that is well worth looking at.
Thank you
Regards
Santo
PS, I think Gunner has summed up the situation very well.
