Snow in Southern Africa

| Once again the person is for scale in the picture. I have done nothing to this picture besides resize and sharpen it. I thought the lens flare gave an interesting effect. This pass is so steep! It's 4x4, 1st gear, low range stuff sometimes. It snows here in winter and sometimes even in other seasons. |

Great shot, nice and crisp, good perspective, well done!
Hi Paul. What sort of 4X4 do you have? Mine wouldn’t make it up there. Excellent POV and excellent exposure for such a strongly backlit shot. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
Hi Paul, our shotsof Akaroa are almost identical aren't they?
I love this one tough, the sun at the top gave a great effect.
Cheers,
Luci
When I think of snowy scenes, the last place I think of is Africa. Apart from Killimanjaro and Mt. Kenya, I was unaware of snow falling elsewhere. I am impressed by the sunlight spectrum and the amount of FG, with little sky. Well done.

Hi Paul,
the colors are a bit pale in my monitor screen, however i love the view. i did a workshop, you can view it. its what i think is best for me.
so you like 4x4? i have my own 4x4 which i inherite from my dad, really good to have one to bring you around places. a good note on vehicle skills too. your notes remind me of my 4x4-landrover 110 model. thanks for sharing!

I really enjoy your photo! I appreciate a well-used lens flare as well. Snow is tough to shoot- the stuff in the middle is a bit hot, but I'm not advanced enough to know how to balance the exposure to even the snow with the good shadows. Anyone have tips?
