Photographer’s Note
Sat behind his worn old desk the harbour master tried to look as imposing and official as he could manage, filling in the form necessary for me to sail on a dhow to Mombasa. "And why do you want to go by dhow" he asked, as if this was insane. "Um, I don't like busses" was all I could think of on the spur of the moment. He sighed, shook his head and filled in the form. 10 minutes later I was in a small boat being taken out to the dhow.
A light breeze caught the sail and we passed around the headland, with Lamu getting smaller. The breeze faded and we bobbed up and down in the Indian ocean for three days. Busses were starting to look good...
I'll be away for a few days so this will be my last post until I return

Nice portrait - this man looks comfortable and relaxed to be shot by you. The greens throughout help unify the shot.
Cheers,

Hello Steve,
Very impressive portrait. You did a very good job with including a bit of the man's upper body in the frame.
Thanks for sharing

Kamran
