Okay, it's not just about wildlife in Africa. Let take a look at the people. Hope there will be peace in Kenya soon.

While hiking near Mount Kenya area, we visited several remote small towns. We arrange to stay a night with a local farmer to experience how the people live. I don’t remember the name of the town anymore. These children were carious to see stranger in their small town and follow us for awhile giggling and laughing innocently. I gave them some energy bar that I carried with me in case of emergency. They got thirsty after that. They stop for a drink. When I first saw them here, I thought they were kissing. When I took a closer look, they were drinking out of a leaky water pipe. This is somewhat higher up in the mountain area, it was cooler climate. As you see the kids wore sweaters and winter hats. I was not prepared that it would be this cold.

Cropped to focus more on kids
Slight saturation and contrast
I consider making it Black & White, but I like the colors of their clothes, so I keep it in color.

Hello,
I like the position of the kids, very natural. Very nice composition with great sharpness and colours too. A good example of daily life.
Best regards,
Catherine

The moment is very well captured. Crisp image and colors. Well done!

Hi Way,
A great daily life capture ! I also thought they were kissing before reading your interesting note.
These kids are lovely.
The only thing I don't like is the barbed wire at the background because it takes off the impression of freedom.
I know it is a detail, probably no importance in comparison with this precious moment.
Regards,
Marianne

Hi Way, this is a very good capture of the moment. It's an excellent crop, focusing in on the two children. We see a way of life that many of us wouldn't be aware of otherwise. I like you, am surprised to see the heavier clothes, with the sweaters and touques. Going with colour was a good idea.

Thanks, John

hello Way
this is a lovely moment you have captured. The position of the 2 kids drinking in the same pipe is priceless.Their hats and pullovers gives superb colours to the photo.Like you I am surprised that the weather is so cold. But,It's true,I have to think that there is a famous glacier on the Kilimanjaro, that is very close to Kenya!

Hey,
Interesting cultural shot! I like the clothes of the kids, bright and warm... and the general exposure is good. This is surely a first for this subject on TE.
Thanks,
Dave.

Hello Way! I am so glad that you kept the colors, it makes the whole scene even cuter than it already is. It is wonderful to share things and I am so glad that you found the two and how they hang at the water pump. My working colleague constantly brings up special things from the little deli we have downstairs where we work as we both like to try out new things (last time it was a mango icecream made from sheep milk). Okay, we maybe do not come as close :) but at least we share the same spoon sometimes. You have a wonderful Africa collection that I love to come back later, probably when I return from Goblin State Park :) In the meantime, have a wonderful time ... Barbara.

HI Way,
I am very happy to be in your favourites. Your gallery is very beautiful: landscapes, nature and people. I like this photo so that I put it in my favourites. I find very moving these two children who have nothing and who share this "nothing" with apparently a big custom. The colors of these old hats and pullovers strengthen this scene.
It's a great shot!
Congratulations
Diane

Ciao Way,
I believe that this stupendous image should be taken as example of peace and brotherhood, because the children are our future. Good, my friend, you have had the sensibility to capture this photo. I put it among mine prefer.
Ciao and happy week end
Paolo
