Photographer’s Note

Submerged rim of an immersed volcanic crater forming a bay which is the deepest point of lake Naivasha, the Crescent Island is a preserved sanctuary of wildlife where you will wander among the animals. The usual way to access the small island is by boat.

An amazing place and one of the only places where you can actually walk without a guide amongst Giraffe, antelope, gazelle, eland, zebra and lot of birds.

Oh this is incredible!!! I love it! The movement of the clouds towards the viewer, the thorny acachia trees, the dry African soil....aaah...makes me want to get into my car and just drive.

Hello Shir,

You perfectly added trees on field with superb tone of terra color. Great effect of wide angle easily recognizable on sky too. I like your capture in great contrasts and clarity. Excellent one, congratulations.

Hi Shir,
A lovely image my friend...that skyline is just great with the wide angled lens.The island looks much larger than i expected....a shame i missed it when i was there.I like the deep colours.
