Morning Masai
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A young man fram a Masai tribe, in Kenya.
Taken early one morning, when I left the campsite to watch the sun rise over the Masai Mara plains. The camp staff suggested I take the 'security guard' as the land was not fenced off or anything, and there could be animals wandering through. So Sammy the Masai came with me and showed me the best place to watch the sunrise. The golden light bathed everything in sight as it crept up over the horizon, and I took some portraits of my guide. |

Yo Dave!
Once again your portraits hold my interest! I love how this gent is staring off across into the distance with a pent up expression. The colour of his shawl mixed with the colours of the rising sun illuminate the scene. Did you use a filler flash to light up his face and cast the shadow or is it the natural sun light doing the job?
Cheers

This is a very beautiful portrait. Very pretty colors and lighting. I like this mans expression, and he shows a 'gentleness'. TFS

David
The Masai people are generally not very fond of having their photos taken, That was nice of him to pose for you.
Beautiful morning light on his face. I like that he's not looking at the camera, very natural and spontaneous. Very beautiful and rich colors with great detail and sharpness. Congratulation.
