Photographer’s Note
Swallow roaming the in the Crater Lake close to Naiwasha in Kenyas Rift Valley.
Our camp on the crater rim had the good fortune of being visited by a bunch of swallows. I think I took about 50 shots to capture one of them in flight, but they are fast and does not fly in straight lines. Did capture a few. This one is by far the best of the bunch.
I like the colours of the morning light, but I wonder this might work in B/W?
PS: Cropped to the panorama format, curves and sharpening.

Wow. I keep trying to take photos of birds and not succeeding - any other tips? I love how the swallow seems to have been captured in mid flight, and the colour graduations keep the eye moving. Great shot.

Very nice shot! I love the calm colors. I think that it would not have been that good in B&W. The shades of green at the bottom of the image are really nice and would have been lost in B&W. The fog at the background gives a nice feeling as well.

Somehow, the slight blur of the bird matches the lovely blur of the scene. Everything has a misty, moody feel to it!
